At Philosophy Education we understand the importance of safe recruitment and ongoing safeguarding support for schools, pupils, teachers and support staff. We are members of the REC and are regularly audited to ensure our processes are robust and appropriate.

All staff recruited by Philosophy Education are vetted to the highest level. The following checks are carried out and all relevant information is sent to directly to schools prior to any member of staff being placed.

  • Face-to-face interviews (via video)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosures
  • Barred List checks (previously List 99)
  • Professional references
  • Teacher Regulation Agency qualification checks
  • Prohibition order and overseas teaching restriction checks
  • Right to Work
  • Overseas Police Checks
  • Health & Identity (Photo ID)

All Philosophy Education staff are required to carry their DBS certificates on placements.
