SEMH Teaching Assistant – Permanent Position

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday 8.30am–5.30pm; Tuesday–Friday 8.30am–4.30pm
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a permanent opportunity within a specialist SEMH setting?
We are recruiting for a Permanent Teaching Assistant to join a small, nurturing specialist school in Wembley, supporting primary-aged children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference to children’s education, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
About the School
The school is a small specialist day provision for primary-aged children with SEMH needs, offering a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment.
With small classes, high staff ratios and a personalised curriculum, the school focuses on helping pupils build confidence, develop positive relationships and experience success in their learning.
Therapeutic support is integrated throughout the school day, with Teaching Assistants working closely alongside teachers, therapists and families to provide consistent and holistic support.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide educational, emotional and practical support to pupils within your class and across the school.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team to help pupils engage with learning, develop independence and manage their emotional and social needs.
