Philosophy Education are currently working with a highly regarded specialist SEND school in Hillingdon that is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with learners aged 11–19 with severe and complex learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour and complex medical needs.

About the Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will take responsibility for the full range of teaching duties, including:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated and personalised lessons.
• Adapting teaching to meet a range of sensory, communication and learning needs.
• Assessing and tracking pupil progress.
• Contributing to Annual Reviews and SEND documentation.
• Leading community visits, trips and enrichment activities.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and leading a small classroom team.
• Developing positive relationships with families and other professionals.
• Supporting learners with their wider development, independence and communication.
• Working flexibly where required, including supporting with personal care and medical administration.

The school operates across two specialist sites in Hillingdon, so candidates may be required to work across either location.

About You

We are keen to hear from qualified and experienced SEND Teachers who can demonstrate:

• UK QTS.
• Experience teaching learners with SLD/CLD or complex SEND, or a strong desire to develop within specialist education.
• Experience planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons.
• A strong understanding of autism, ADHD and complex learning needs.
• Confidence supporting learners who may display challenging behaviour.
• The ability to use creative, sensory and communication-based approaches to engage learners.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive, resilient and flexible approach.
• The patience, enthusiasm and sense of fun needed to thrive in a specialist SEND environment.
