A welcoming and supportive nursery school in Lambeth is seeking a SEND Nursery Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them to thrive within an inclusive learning environment.
The Role
As a SEND Nursery Assistant, you will work as part of the nursery team to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access play-based learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships with their peers.
You will provide tailored support across the nursery setting, working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider staff team to ensure children’s individual needs are understood and supported effectively. You will help to create a nurturing and engaging environment, supporting children’s communication, social, emotional and developmental progress.
This is a part-time role offering flexibility for candidates who are available for 4–5 hours per day.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience supporting children with SEND within an Early Years setting
• A patient, nurturing and inclusive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s early development
