In this role you will be based in the year 1 class working with small intervention groups in phonics. The pupils you will be working with have been identified as requiring catch up support and working below the expected level for their age. Some of the pupils you will be working with have English as an additional language. The school has a large number of Spanish speaking pupils so the ability to speak Spanish would be desirable. You will work closely with the class teacher to prepare sessions and you will provide verbal and written feedback as required.
The school are looking for a graduate teaching assistant who has experience of running interventions in EYFS and/or KS1 and has been trained in the Ruth Miskin programme Read, Write Inc..
The role is to begin at the end of April and is offered on a part-time contract basis initially for the summer term but could be extended.
