In this role you will be based in the nursery class in the afternoon session 12.20pm – 3.45pm. The class has a larger than average number of pupils with SEN needs who all require support to access learning and play safely and productively. During carpet sessions, you will work directly with the pupils with SEN and will be involved in taking them out of class to provide specialist play and communication activities. These sessions will be directed by the class teacher and specialist intervention teachers. You will support the pupils with SEN throughout the afternoon during free play sessions with all the other pupils. You will be working under the direction on an experienced teacher, early years educators and other SEN Teaching Assistants
The school are ideally looking for a teaching assistant who has experience of working with young children with SEN.
The role is to begin at the end of April and is offered on a part-time contract basis initially for the summer term but could be extended.
