A lovely, forward-thinking primary school in Lambeth are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school to support a child with SEN.
The role
In this role you will be supporting a child in year 1 on a 1 to 1 basis. The child has autism and can display challenging behaviour so needs a teaching assistant with a consistent and caring approach. You will work closely with the class teacher, the SENCO and outside support agencies to ensure the child is supported in both his learning and all-round development. You will be working with the child within the classroom, in some specialist intervention sessions and at some playtimes.
The school are ideally looking for an SEN teaching assistant who has previous experience and/or a good knowledge of autism.
