A opportunity has just become available for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely church of England primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham on a full-time basis.
The Role
In this role you will be supporting a child in year 1 (going in to year 2 in September) with autism and dyslexia. You will support the child to access class based learning by adapting tasks and activities. You will need to have clear communication and be able to simplify instructions and use pictorial guides.
Part of your role will be supporting pupils with special needs and running small intervention groups in phonics, reading and numeracy. You will be helping with the day to day running of the classroom including photocopying, preparing materials for lessons and displays. The school would like to recruit a graduate who has experience working with children in some capacity. This role is ideal for a graduate who has experience working with children or who is looking to pursue a career in teaching.
This role is to start ASAP. It is offered on a full-time contract basis and will continue for the next academic year until July 2023.

This Church of England primary school is situated in Parsons Green in Hammersmith and Fulham. The school is popular within the local community and there is good parental support for the school. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum which includes first hand experiences to challenge, motivate and include all pupils. Staff at the school are welcoming and friendly. As a 2 form entry site, teachers and teaching assistants within the year group work closely together in planning and assessment for their respective year groups.
