We are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Downs Syndrome in a primary school. The pupil is in Key Stage 2 and requires 1 to 1 support in lessons and during some playtimes. The school are looking for a teaching assistant who is pro-active and caring but can also encourage independence. You will idealy have some previous knowledge of working with children or adults with downs syndrome.
The position is to start in September and the school are looking for someone who can commit to the role for the full academic year. You will work 8.30 – 4.00 with one hour lunch break. Monday – Friday term time only.
Interviews are available until 23rd July and in the first week of September

This friendly and welcoming community primary school is based in Chingford and serves a vibrant and diverse community. The school is expanding to be a 3-form entry primary and is rated Good by Ofsted 3FE. The school is accessible by car or a short bus ride from Chingford station.
