A small primary school in Hornsey are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time contract for the rest of the academic year.
In this role you will be supporting a pupil with Autism and ADHD for 4 mornings. The pupil in Year 2 is waiting for a special school place (starting in September). He is working in a dedicated learning space on his own because he finds working in a mainstream classroom difficult so you will need to be able to work independently. You will work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to prepare suitable activities.
In the afternoons, you will be based in the Year 3 class providing general support to the teacher and working with some identified pupils.
The role is part-time (Monday to Thursday) and is offered on a long-term contract until July 2021.
This 1 form entry infant school is based in Hornsey with good transport links. Pupils are well-behaved and engaged in learning and there is a strong management team in place. The school celebrates diversity and ensures all pupils have access to good quality teaching and learning.
If you have a suitable level of experience working with SEND, please apply with an up to date CV.
