An established, specialist provision in Enfield are currently looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP.
This school is part of a larger group of SEND schools that provide education and skills based learning to pupils with a range of SEND and learning support needs. This particular role is based at a site that focuses on life skills for pupils with SEMH needs. The provision can accommodate up to 60 pupils from 14 – 25 yrs old. Pupils come to the provision with the following needs:
In this role you will be supporting a range of young people attending the provision. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide Quality First Teaching in class sessions. Learning is focused on life skills and therapy. You will work with staff to provide intervention groups, focusing on behaviour, positive thinking, social skills, self esteem, stress and anger management. External professionals will work with pupils and you will be involved in offering support where required in these sessions.
