A Special needs school in Hammersmith is looking for an experienced Secondary teacher to join their school in September to teach a class of pupils with SEMH needs and lead in science across the school.
You will be joining the school to teach a class of 9 pupils with SEMH needs in Key stage 4. You will be required to teach the class the core subjects of English, Maths and Science for the class, adapting the curriculum as required to allow the pupils in your class to access learning and make appropriate progress. The main focus will be for learners to have strong functional literacy and numeracy skills In addition to your class teaching role, the school would like the role to incorporate leading science across the school.
You will be supported by learning support assistants within your class. You should have a highly-professional, caring and committed approach to teaching pupils with SEMH.
This role is offered on a 1 year contract basis initially. There is potential that the role will become permanent for the right candidate after the initial contract.
