An outstanding infant school in Dulwich are currently looking for an experienced reception teacher to join their school from the summer term.
The role
In this role you will be taking over from two teachers who currently share one of the reception classes at the school. Both teachers are pregnant and so preparing to take maternity leave. One of the teachers will remain in the school although will be non-classroom based.
Your role will involve teaching the reception class on a full-time basis. You will work with the year team and the existing part-time class teacher on planning, assessment and report writing. As many pupils in reception have had an unsettling first year in school, it is imperative that you are able to commit to the class until the end of the academic year. Learning is developed through themed based planned activities and play based learning. The school use the ‘read write inc’ phonics programme and you should have good knowledge of this or a similar phonics programme.
This role is offered on a contract basis for the summer term initially, but the contract has the potential to be extended in to the next academic year.
