A lovely, creative primary school in Newham are looking for a graduate or experienced learning support assistant to join their staff team
In this position you will be supporting pupils across the school with Special Educational Needs. Pupils will have been assessed and an have a bespoke plan in place to allow them to access learning in the classroom and make suitable progress. Some children will have social and emotional needs and will require support outside the classroom and within social situations. Your role will include delivering some 1 to 1 interventions to support with reading, phonics and speech and language. There is a specialist SEN Teacher at the school who is able to offer guidance and support for the learning support staff team.
Whilst the school are keen to receive applications from Learning Support Assistants with previous experience, they are also very keen to hear from graduates who are looking to pursue a career in education or have an interest in working with children with SEND. All staff joining the school are provided with training so you will be confident to offer suitable support for the children you will be working with.
This lovely large, vibrant primary school is based in Stratford in East London. As a 3 form-entry school there is a large staff team who work closely together to help children of all abilities to meet their full potential.
