An ‘outstanding’ nursery school in Lambeth are looking for a qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher to lead teaching across the nursery and take on SENCO responsibilities.
In this role you will be leading the teaching across the nursery school which caters for 2 – 4 year olds within the borough of Lambeth. As a teacher your duties will include some class teaching for the 3 – 4 year old pupils, management of other staff members, overseeing the curriculum and enrichment activities, assessment of teaching and learning. The role includes SENCO responsibilities and you will be directly involved in assessments, referrals, applications and working with wider support services across the borough. You should have a good level of professional experience and knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, excellent attention to detail and record keeping. You will be communicating and supporting a diverse range of families and should have excellent inter-personal skills and a calm and professional approach to management. Whilst you must hold qualified teacher status to apply, the school are interested in receiving applications from both qualified and aspiring SENCOs who have extensive experience teaching in the Early Years sector.
This role is offered on a contract basis initially but it will be a permanent role from September 2021 for the right teacher.
The Nursery School offers term-time education from 2 – 4 years old and is part of a federation of nursery across the borough of Lambeth. They run as a school and therefore are only open during term-time and school hours. At their most recent Ofsted (spring 2019) they achieved outstanding and are a very popular choice of nursery for the local community.
