The Role

The school are looking for a teacher who has a passion for learning and teaching in History together with the skills to inspire and motivate students to make them succeed. In this role you will be teaching History across Keystage 3 & 4. If needed there is an option to rearrange the timetable to allow for just Keystage 3. You are required to teach 1 lesson of geography within the timetable. You will have your own classroom and be given full support from the Head of humanities. This role is suitable for both experienced and newly qualified teachers and the school are able to support NQT induction . You will join a friendly and supportive team which strives to ensure that all students enjoy their learning and surpass expectations of achievement.

The school are looking for a History teacher with the following:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• History Specialism
• A proactive and engaging teaching approach
• Understanding of the requirements for high quality teaching
• Ability to use ICT effectively
• Ability to fulfil the requirements of a Form Tutor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels
• Excellent administration skills and the ability to meet deadlines
