
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Bexley to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school while working alongside a collaborative team of experienced educators.
The successful candidate will be passionate about helping children succeed and confident in leading learning both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will be responsible for delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading small group interventions and providing targeted support to pupils across different year groups.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires confidence, flexibility and the ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or delivering targeted interventions would be advantageous but is not essential.
