A specialist SEND school for primary aged pupils with Autism are looking for a qualified and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time contract basis for the academic year.

The Role 

In this role, you will be supporting pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (4 – 5 year olds) Pupils attending the school range on the spectrum You will be working in a class of 6 pupils Supporting SEND students with autism and some students may present behaviours that challenge. Please note that some personal care may be required You will be part of a team of staff in the Early Years delivering engaging, varied learning and development experiences. You will support the children with interventions and classes with specialists.

This small, welcoming Special Needs School is based in South East London and specializes in the teaching of children on the autistic spectrum. They offer a curriculum which includes various therapies including music and animal therapy. They have a hydrotherapy pool and a range of specially designed facilities to support pupils.
