A lovely 1 form entry school in Camden are looking for an additional teacher to join their early years team ASAP on a full-time basis.
This role has become available as the school has just taken on 50 new pupils across the school who have been re-homed in London from Afghanistan. You will be teaching a small class of 12 – 15 pupils aged between 4 and 6 years old. This class has been created in addition to their existing classes to provide specialist teaching for the academic year. All the children speak Farsi and have very little English. They will require a gentle and encouraging approach to support them to settle in to school and the wider London community. Whilst some children would normally be in year 1, you will be teaching them based on the EYFS curriculum. You will have up to 2 teaching assistants working with you during the school day and there is an established and supportive leadership and teaching team in place who will be able to provide support.
The school are looking for an experienced EYFS teacher who is dedicated to making a real difference. This role is offered on a academic year contract basis and will be paid to scale.
