A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher (QTS) to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Enfield on a part-time basis from September.
The Role
This Early Years Teacher role will involve teaching a Reception class for three days a week. You will take the class independently on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, your morning will be allocated for PPA time with your partner teacher, followed by an afternoon of team teaching with them. You will work collaboratively with your EYFS colleagues to plan, assess, and deliver high-quality, child-centered learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will bring a calm, positive approach and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, with particular strength in delivering learning through structured play. Experience in Early Years settings is highly desirable. You will be expected to attend relevant staff meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the EYFS provision. Creativity, flexibility, and excellent communication will be key to success in this role.
This position is initially offered until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension.
The School
This welcoming and high-achieving Roman Catholic primary school in Enfield caters to children aged 4–11 across two forms of entry. Led by a committed and ambitious leadership team, the school holds a “Good” Ofsted rating and is known for its nurturing ethos, inclusive culture, and strong pastoral support.
Within the EYFS, there is a strong emphasis on play-based learning, where children are encouraged to explore, create, and develop key early skills in a stimulating, well-resourced environment. Practitioners skilfully balance adult-led activities with opportunities for child-initiated play, fostering independence, communication, and a love of learning from the very start.
The school community is diverse and vibrant, and staff benefit from excellent support, experienced leadership, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
