An opportunity has become available for a qualified Early Years Educator to join a lovely private nursery in Newham on a permanent basis.
In this role you will be joining the nursery on to take on key worker responsibilities and provide care to children attending the nursery. There are 2 rooms (baby and toddler/preschool) and you will be assigned to a room on appointment. Your role will involve preparing and planning engaging activities for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You will be responsible for assessments and reporting to parents in relation to your key-children. Within your day you will be involved in setting up and clearing down activities and play equipment and the nursery spaces in general.
This role is offered on a permanent basis. The nursery is open 52 weeks of the year and opening hours are 8am – 6pm (there is also an early drop off from 7.30am). Your 40 hours working week will be a combination of early/late shifts which will be confirmed on appointment.
This purpose-built day nursery is incorporated in to a Community Centre building with it’s own separate entrance and its own secluded outdoor play space. The nursery offers a high standard of early years education for children from 6 weeks to 4 years. There are excellent facilities and there is a focus on outdoor play to support children’s emotional health development of imagination and independence. The nursery work closely with families and carry out home visits to help children settle and also have good links with local schools to carefully manage transitions. The dedicated, qualified and friendly team are led by an experienced manager and there are good opportunities for professional development.
