Are you looking to join a thriving and supportive Secondary Grammar School where creativity, innovation and student success are at the heart of everything they do?

We are working in partnership with a highly successful and ambitious secondary academy within a well-established multi-academy trust in Kent. The trust has a strong reputation for staff development, academic excellence and creating opportunities for both students and staff to flourish. With access to exceptional CPD, collaborative networks and clear career progression pathways, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious educator to take the next step in their career.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Design Technology to join their successful Technology Department from September 2026. The successful candidate will primarily teach Design Technology and Food & Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that inspire creativity, confidence and independent thinking.

Whether you are an Early Career Teacher looking for your first permanent role or an experienced practitioner seeking a fresh challenge, you will benefit from a supportive leadership team, excellent facilities and a culture that values innovation and professional growth.

The Role

  • Teach Design Technology and Food & Nutrition across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Inspire students to develop creativity, technical skills and confidence
  • Monitor progress and support students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and events

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS
  • A degree relevant to Design Technology, Food & Nutrition or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching
  • High expectations of student achievement and behaviour
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development

In Return, the School Offers

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Outstanding CPD and career development opportunities
  • Access to trust-wide networks and specialist subject communities
  • Modern facilities and well-resourced classrooms
  • Comprehensive induction programme for ECTs and experienced teachers alike
  • Employee wellbeing initiatives and staff benefits package
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school and trust that invests heavily in its staff and is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential.
