A great opportunity has become available for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist Learning centre based in Greenwich. The centre are looking for a strong, experienced behaviour support assistant to join the staff for the rest of the academic year.
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant you’ll be working with students with various behavioural and emotional needs that need support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will be working with students between the ages of 5 – 11 years. The centre allows pupils to refocus on their learning and/or to prevent a permanent exclusion. You will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the students.
Pupils have the chance to develop their skills in a place which fosters tolerance and confidence.
The learning centre is based alongside a mainstream primary school and is funded by Greenwich Borough Council.
Experience working with challenging behaviour is essential.
