Are you a graduate looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? A large secondary academy in Brixton is seeking enthusiastic and motivated graduates to support students in English, Maths, and Science. This is an excellent opportunity to develop teaching skills, gain hands-on experience, and explore the rewarding world of education.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students across KS3 and KS4, both in class and through small group sessions.
- Help students develop core subject skills and prepare for exams.
- Assist teachers in preparing materials and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-on-one support for students who need extra help.
- Work with students with special educational needs (SEND).
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Get involved in extracurricular activities and school events.
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree (any subject).
- A genuine interest in teaching and working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is a plus but not essential!
